Buff and Grind

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently hiring a Buff and Grind Associate to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will work in the Buff & Grind department, helping prepare and finish fabricated metal components to meet quality and production standards.

JOB DUTIES:

• Grind, buff, and smooth metal surfaces and fabricated components.

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, weld marks, and other imperfections from metal parts.

• Use handheld grinders, buffers, and other power tools safely and effectively.

• Prepare metal components for the next stage of the manufacturing process.

• Inspect completed work to ensure parts meet quality and finishing standards.

• Follow work orders, instructions, and established production procedures.

• Handle and move metal parts throughout the work area as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

• Follow all required safety procedures and properly use PPE.

• Assist with additional production or fabrication duties as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Previous manufacturing, metalworking, grinding, welding, or fabrication experience is preferred but not required.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with metal components.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This is a hands-on manufacturing position. Employees may be exposed to noise, sparks, metal dust, and other conditions commonly found in a metal fabrication environment. Appropriate PPE and safety procedures are required.

• This position requires steel toed boots.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs - 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
